The Company

Background-
Irvin Hunt was formed to resolve the problems of so many executive recruitment business’s in that they are either two big to provide a personal dedicated service or not focused enough to have a real understanding of the clients needs, whether that be the market sector, the functional skills or the forward strategy in changing times.

Ian Irvin, who founded Irvin Hunt, had worked in industry and used search with mixed results and had then worked for two established Executive Search firms. He knows from his own personal experience, on both sides of the "fence", that senior board level recruitment needs very careful definition of the issues, culture, role, etc and an in depth understanding of the board level parameters that can only come from personal experience at this level. Ian's personal experience enables him to realise the levels of commitment and dedication that are necessary to achieve the best results. He therefore felt the only way to provide this degree of dedication and assurance, was to start his own business committed to the high levels of service and results that he knew were achievable but so often not obtained by the industry.

In addition, to fully support the problem solving reality in senior executive recruitment, Ian realised the need for and has ensured its provision, by adding to add to the service offering key expertise in other relevant fields:

      Mentoring and Coaching and General Board effectiveness

He is proud to have been able to prove the above principles with many satisfied, long term, high profile, clients.

Philosophy-
To provide executive recruitment Consultants, with Board level experience in the relevant markets, who will themselves carry out the key recruitment work for the client and who will maintain control and liaison on the assignment throughout its duration, whilst ensuring originality and expertise is fully applied to maximise effective results.

Seamless Approach/ Detailed Methodology-
The experienced consultant will discuss the details, requirements, strategy, function, competencies and definition of the role and the company, with the client and all involved, relevant, personnel. A detailed brief will then be prepared and when agreed by all parties, extensive original research will be carried out of suitable individuals, possibly backed up by selective advertising, if appropriate. Suitable individuals will then be approached and, if appropriate, interviewed and a short list presented to the client of selected individuals any one of who are the right calibre for the job, together with detailed individual reports on all the shortlist candidates.
